There are two ways of converting to PDF.

• Install Prince XML (recommended). This enables to Convert to PDF option in SmallNews which will automatically create the PDF version in the same folder as the HTML version
• Print as PDF from Firefox (or Safari, although this doesn’t support the 3 column layout).

Using Prince XML is much better - the PDF will include bookmarks for all the sections and articles making it easier to navigate, and several formats of the PDF can be created (see below). However, using Firefox, you can remove certain articles from the printed version. If you click on an article title, it will grey-out the whole article, and it will not be included in the printed version.



When using Prince XML, 6 PDF formats available:

• Print (A4 page) - 1 columns (this is a new option)
• Print (A4 page) - 3 columns (the previous default)
• iPad
• iPhone / iPod Touch
• 6” ebook reader (e.g. Kindle, Sony Reader)
• Mobile phone (QVGA screen)

Choose which versions you want to create by adding them to the list, and specify a prefix for the output filename of each. The date is appended onto each filename. Obviously, each format should have a different prefix, or they will get overwritten.
